Thursday night saw The Audio Consultant Auckland host the Grey Lynn Business Association’s monthly networking event, as well as a special guest speaker and demonstrations of some of The Audio Consultant’s ‘best sound in the world’ audio systems. The GLBA monthly event is a great chance to catch up with all the local businesses and personalities – to find out what’s happening in Ponsonby & Grey Lynn and connect with a great business community full of innovative and entrepreneurial people!

The Audio Consultant demonstrated some of our amazing sounding systems including the revolutionary game-changing Devialet, firstly a model 200 running a pair of Focal Electra 1028 BE speakers (featuring Focal’s best in the world “W” Cone drivers and Beryllium tweeters), then the model 250 running Focal’s unsurpassed Stella Utopia III EM loud speakers (again featuring the “W” Cone drivers, this time with electro magnets, & Beryllium tweeters) – both these systems are unsurpassed in their respective classes and the Devialet & Focal ranges are a perfect compliment for each other – not to mention a bringing together of the very best in French (and in fact European) audio! The Focal speakers also feature Tchernov copper cabling (from Russia), which, by design, The Audio Consultant also carries – truly maximising the synergies of these 3 brands to bring the most engaging, detailed and involving audio you will ever hear!

Special guest for the event was Kate Ward-Smythe who presented to the GLBA on the “For Every One” charitable foundation formed by Richie McCaw, Dan Carter, and Ali Williams in 2009. Richie, Dan, & Ali have invested their money from their water business into the foundation which seeks to raise funds to support individual charities around New Zealand. In addition to specific fund raising activities, the foundation gains funds from the sale of “For Every One Water” (look for it in your Supermarket – the bottles should feature the FEO branding but may still have the images of Richie, Dan, or Ali on them with the “Water For Everyone” brand), and their collaborative “Song For Every One” single (that features Stan Walker, Annie Crummer, Boh Runga, Clara van Wel, Jackie Thomas, Vince Harder, and others) – which is available on CD and iTunes (see the single on YouTube).

All in all a great night – Kate from “For Every One” won our prize draw and took away a stunning pair of red Focal Spirit One headphones (worth $399) and ultimately the music and community were the winners on the night! Coming up The Audio Consultant will be out supporting the Grey Lynn Business Association again at the Grey Lynn Park Festival on Saturday 29 November 2014.
